Dressember
Over the Fall until early Spring of 2019-2020, I interned with Dressember, a non-profit organization that advocates against human trafficking. It allowed me to use my passion for writing to communicate injustice to large audiences. Of the five original articles that were published to the Dressember blog, I focused my topics on the disproportions of indigenous peoples in the realm of human trafficking, sexual exploitation of mixed people, the importance of empathy and consistency as advocates, and have conducted interviews with representatives of Anti-Slavery International and ethical brand owners.
Our biggest advocacy tool might not be passion, but consistency. Here's why.
